Title: Still life (2)
Size: 75x58cm
Axel Antas
In Still Life the artist kept larvae in his studio and documented their transition into a group of butterflies, which he then photographed. The work has an unusual beauty and looks as though it may be caught and frozen in a different time period.
Artist Background
Finish photographer, Axel Antas graduated from Goldsmiths College in 2000 and lives and works in London. He is represented by the young emerging West End gallery, Rokeby, who will be exhibiting his work at this year’s Zoo Art Fair in October.
