Helga Steppan
See Through, 2004 is a series of 12 photographic images. To make the series Steppan audited all of her material belongs before dividing them into a full spectrum of different colour groupings. From these, she constructed a series of carefully composed installations that were then photographed.
Artist Background
Swedish artist Helga Steppan graduated from an MA in Communication Art and Design at the Royal College of Art in 2004. She lives and works in London and is represented by young emerging Kennington based gallery, Man & Eve.
Steppan’s artistic process has a very performative element, with the artist often going to extraordinary lengths to realise her vision for a project.
