Hiroshima

Title: Hiroshima
Size: 55x45cm

Kirk Palmer

The series of 3 prints entitled Hiroshima, are photographic stills from a film of the same name made by the artist in Hiroshima earlier this year. The film and the photographs depict the city as it is now, without making any reference to its tragic past, in a bid to question the way in which history moves on from an event to such a degree that it is almost forgotten within the fabric of a city or culture. The interest in this work lies in all that is not said or depicted.
